Fair Grove man injured in wreck
Motorcycle loses control on Hwy. 39 curve
A Fair Grove man suffered moderate injuries Saturday at 1:10 p.m. in a wreck on Highway 39, three miles north of Shell Knob.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Robert Hawkins, 55, of Fair Grove, was driving a 2006 Honda 1000 motorcycle when his vehicle failed to negotiate a curve, ran off the right side of the roadway and overturned, ejecting Hawkins.
Hawkins suffered moderate injuries and was transported to Mercy Hospital in Springfield.
He was wearing a safety device, and damage to the motorcycle was extensive.
