Howard D. Garner
Howard D. Garner, 73, of Exeter, passed away at Cassville Health and Rehab, in Cassville. Mr. He was born on April 2, 1942, son of Lester and Hallie (Bowling) Garner, in Greenway, Ark. On Nov. 20, 1987, he was united in marriage to Ruby Merrett in Florida. They moved to Exeter where they have resided for the past 27 years. He worked at Tyson Foods in Monett and served in the National Guard for 16 years.
Survivors include his wife Ruby, of Exeter; five sons, Ashley Garner and his wife, Amy, of Cassville, Tony Rupe of VanCleave, Miss., Ronnie Rupe, of Popular Bluff, Charles Rupe and his wife, Kelli, of Rhoadesville, Va., Kevin Purl, of Memphis, Tenn.; two daughters, Kim Buteaux and her husband James, of New Iberia, La., Debra and her husband, Yogi Staples, of Exeter; two brothers Doyle and Don Garner; and one sister, Mary Hardin.
In addition to his parents He was preceded in death by two sons, Leslie and Charles Purl and three brothers.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society and entrusted to the White Funeral Home & Crematory, P.O. 890, Cassville, MO 65625.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of the White Funeral Home & Crematory, Cassville.
