Ruth Whitsett, 101, of Branson, passed away Tuesday, July 28, 2015, in Golden Living Center, Branson.
She was born Dec. 29, 1913, in Trumann, Ark., the daughter of Pete and Evelyn Dino. In 1928, in Arkansas, she was united in marriage to Otto Whitsett, who preceded her in death in 1978. Also preceding her in death were her parents; three sons, James Whitsett and two in infancy; two brothers; two sisters and two grandsons, David Wheeler and James Randel Hamilton.
Survivors include: are two daughters, Jeannie Anderson, of Branson, and Judith Means and her husband, Jim, of Branson; 67 grandchildren; 47 great- grandchildren; 16 great-great grandchildren; and two great-great-great grandchildren.
She grew up in Arkansas, where she received her education. She resided in California several years, and was a cashier in Lake Tahoe casinos. She had lived in Branson for the past five years.
Funeral services were held Friday in Golden Church of God, Golden, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Pastor Daryl Harp conducted the services. Burial was at Viney Creek Cemetery, Golden.
