Vehicle hits tree on Farm Road 1230 near Shell Knob

A Shell Knob man was seriously injured and arrested after a wreck at 4:47 p.m. Monday on Farm Road 1230, three miles west of Shell Knob.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Jaymes Harmon, 32, of Shell Knob, was driving a 2011 Yamaha Zuma scooter northbound on Farm Road 1230 when his vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a tree.

Harmon was seriously injured and was transported to Cox South Hospital in Springfield. He was not wearing a safety device, and the scooter suffered extensive damage.

Harmon was arrested at 5:37 p.m. for felony driving while intoxicated, driving with a revoked license and careless and imprudent driving.
