Seligman man injured, arrested after wreck

Vehicle strikes tree on Farm Road 2295

A Seligman man suffered moderate injuries and was arrested after a wreck at 7:22 p.m. Friday on Farm Road 2295, six miles west of Seligman.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Cody Horton, 26, of Seligman, was driving a 1999 GMC pickup eastbound on Farm Road 2295 when his vehicle ran off the roadway and struck a tree.

Horton suffered moderate injuries and was transported to Cox South Hospital in Springfield. It is unknown if he was wearing a safety device, and the vehicle suffered moderate damage.

At 7:56 p.m., Horton was arrested on charges of driving on a suspended license, failure to drive on the right half of the roadway and leaving the scene of an accident.
