25-year-old facing 5 charges after Seligman crash

A Pineville man was injured and then arrested following a wreck Saturday at 12:05 a.m. on Farm Road 2290, one mile east of Seligman.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Ricky Rainwater, 25, of Pineville, was driving a 2001 Chevrolet Blazer eastbound when his vehicle ran off the roadway, struck a fence and a tree, then overturned.

Rainwater, who was not wearing a safety device, suffered minor injuries and was transported by ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Cassville. The vehicle was totaled.

At 1:53 a.m., Rainwater was arrested on five charges, including: felony tampering with a motor vehicle, felony driving while intoxicated, no seat belt, driving while revoked and careless and imprudent driving.

Rainwater also has misdemeanor warrants out of the Cassville Police Department for no insurance and leaving the scene of an accident.
