Charles E. McGarrah Sr

Charles E. McGarrah Sr., 61, of Seligman, passed away on Tuesday, June 23, 2015, at Mercy Hospital Northwest Arkansas in Rogers, Ark. He was born in Fayetteville, Ark., on Dec. 7, 1953, son of Albert and Sophroina (Davidson) McGarrah. He was a life-long resident of the Barry County area, and owned and operated Gateway Auto Sales & Salvage in Garfield, Ark., for several years.

Survivors include: his wife Mary Tucker McGarrah, of Seligman; five sons, Richard McGarrah, Albert McGarrah and his wife, Vanessa, Charles McGarrah and his wife, April, Riley McGarrah, and Ronald Ray Desheilds, all of Seligman; five daughters, Tammy Epps, of Avoca, Ark., Joyce Deshields, of Seligman, Sherry Cummins and her husband, J.C., and Shannon Barber and her husband, Jake, both of Marietta, Okla., and Charlie Ann McGarrah, of Seligman; several grandchildren; three brothers, Gary McGarrah, of Cave Springs, Ark., Rodney McGarrah, of Garfield, Ark., and Ricky McGarrah of Springdale, Ark.; and two sisters, Joyce Plumk, of De Queen, Ark., and Donna Breeden, of Pineville.

Graveside services were held on Friday at King Cemetery, north of Seligman, with Pastor Kevin Miller officiating.

Arrangements are under the direction of White Funeral Home & Crematory, Cassville.
