Erma Lee Shockley

Erma Lee Shockley, 82, of Exeter, passed away Wednesday, June 24, 2015.

She was born July 17, 1932, in Barry County, the daughter of Melvin Lee and Epsa Myrtle (Fletcher) Shrum. On Aug. 20, 1955, in Washburn, she was united in marriage to Edward Shockley, who preceded her in death on May 8, 1974. Also preceding her in death were her parents and two brothers, Lloyd Shrum and Roy Shrum.

Survivors include: one son, Ron Shockley and his wife, Sandra, of Exeter; two daughters, Sandra Wiseley and her husband, Leonard, of Washburn, and Shirley Beck and her husband, Lee, of Cassville; one sister, Faye Horton and her husband, Charles, of Rocky Comfort; one sister-in-law, Bonnie Shrum, of Washburn; seven grandchildren; and four great- grandchildren.

She was a life-long resident of Barry County and attended Trent Creek School. For several years, she was employed in production at Fasco. She was a member of Ridgley Assembly of God Church. Funeral services were held Saturday in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Pastor Dan Watson conducted the services. Burial was at Maplewood Cemetery, Exeter.
