Ella "Maxine" (Robertson) Bever Tucker
Ella "Maxine" (Robertson) Bever Tucker, 91, of Cassville, passed away Tuesday, June 16, 2015, in Cassville Health Care and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born Oct. 4, 1923, in Seligman, the daughter of James Thomas and Minnie Mae (Jones) Robertson. On Sept. 12, 1947, in Tulsa, Okla., she was united in marriage to Clyde Edward Bever, who preceded her in death on June 22, 1955. To this union one son, Samuel Thomas Bever was born. On May 6, 1959, she married Charlie Tucker, who died April 27, 1995. There were two sons, Rodney Gene Tucker and Charles Dean Tucker born to this union. Charles Dean died shortly after birth. Others preceding her in death were her parents and one brother, Ernest Clayton Robertson.
Survivors include: two sons, Sam Bever, of Joplin, and Rodney Tucker and his wife, Tracy, of Cassville; three grandsons; two step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Lloyd Tucker; and sister-in-law, Freda Myers.
She grew up and received her education at Seligman, where she graduated from high school and then attended two years of college at Drury University. For four years, she was secretary for Southwest School at Washburn, and then from 1963 until 1992 she was secretary for Cassville Middle School. She was an active member of Cassville First Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held Saturday in Cassville First Baptist Church, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Pastor James Weaver conducted the services. Burial was at Corinth Cemetery, Cassville.
