Seniors and guests celebrated Memorial Day with a picnic and celebration Friday, May 22. Central Crossing Senior Center picked that day to honor cherished veterans, both living and dead. Nearly 100 participants took part in the celebration. OJ Thompson, former CCSC administrator, cooked hot dogs and hamburgers out on the grill and Bob Lea brought in his much sought-after ice cream. Special music and entertainment was provided by George Meisner, pictured. Jerry Arnold led the invocation. All attending veterans were given special recognition and treated to a free meal. The ceremony concluded with the playing of Taps. Contributed photo
