Eileen A. Basye
Eileen A. Basye, 68, of Cassville, passed away in her home on June 3, 2015. She was born on Oct. 5, 1946, daughter of William "Bill" and Mary (Korf) Demel, in Great Bend, Kan. On Aug. 14, 1965, she was united in marriage to James Lester Basye in Hoisington, Kan.; he preceded her in death on Aug.2, 2009. She retired from Red Rose Inn in Cassville as a dietary supervisor after 22 years of service. She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post #118.
Survivors include: three sons, David Basye and his wife, Sheila, of Webb City, Daniel Basye and his wife, Kayla, of Jenkins, and Daryl Basye and his wife, Kari, of Inverness, Fla.; one daughter, Diana Walters and her husband Mark, of Mt. Vernon; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Ellen Bowman and her husband, Larry, of Agenda, Kan., and Rita Seyfert and her husband, Kevin, of Great Bend, Kan. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Bill Demel and Alvin Demel; and one sister, Roberta Basye.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post #4205, and entrusted to the White Funeral Home and Crematory, P.O. Box 890, Cassville, MO 65625.
Funeral services were held June 8 at the White Funeral Home and Crematory with Pastor Lonnie Stockton officiating. Burial followed at Corinth Cemetery.
