Cornelius Clayton Vickers, Jr.

Cornelius Clayton Vickers, Jr., 88, of Seligman, passed away Monday, May 25, 2015, in Circle of Life Hospice Legacy Village, Bentonville, Ark.

He was born May 3, 1927, in Marcia, N.M., the son of Cornelius C. Vickers, Sr. and Oma (Rapier) Vickers. He was united in marriage to Mary Anne Rehfeld, who survives.

Additional survivors include: three sons, Jack Vickers, of Neosho, Rick Vickers, of Gardena, Calif., and James Vickers of Hawthorne, Calif.; one stepson, Ray Wein, of Pea Ridge, Ark.; one brother, John Vickers, of Simi Valley, Calif.; one sister, Ruth Minarsch, of Palm Springs, Calif.; a half-sister, Sharon Rehfeld, of California; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Preceding him in death were his parents and a grandson.

He received his education in Arizona, where he graduated from high school. He spent most of his life in California, where he was a self-employed carpenter building new homes. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran. Memorial services with military honors were held today (Wednesday) in Fayetteville National Cemetery, Fayetteville, Ark.

Cremation arrangements were under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville.
