Children enjoy 'The Amazing Adventures of Super Chicken' presentation at Cassville Branch Library

Wednesday, June 3, 2015
Children at the Cassville branch library raised hands high hoping to be picked as the next volunteer for the next fun-filled act of the presentation, "Oh My Gosh Josh, The Amazing Adventures of Super Chicken," which kicked off the summer reading program Thursday and featured performer Josh Routh, from the St. Louis area. The same program was held at the Eagle Rock and Shell Knob library branches the same day, and will be held at 10 Barry and Lawrence county library locations in total. The program consisted of comedy and antics that included a super chicken, acting and drama with costumes and props, juggling, puppeteering, storytelling, improvisation, and even a sword fight to claim land in Spain. A state library grant made the program available. Julia Kilmer reporter@cassville-democrat.com
