Officer Luckey leaves police force

A party was held Thursday, May 28 at city hall to honor Officer Jennifer Luckey, right, School Resource and Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) Officer with the City of Cassville. Luckey had been with the police department for five years, and worked with the Cassville School District as a resource officer. She also worked for the city and responded to calls for the school and community. In attendance were City of Cassville Police Chief Dana Kammerlohr, pictured, eight city officers and several members from city and county offices. Also in attendance were two of Luckey's previous D.A.R.E. students and students from the group, Students Against Destructive Decisions (S.A.D.D.). Luckey said she will miss the students, officers, chief and teaching D.A.R.E. classes. Julia Kilmer reporter@cassville-democrat.com
