Mother's Day Luncheon

Wednesday, May 13, 2015
The annual Mother's Day Luncheon was served on Friday at the Cassville Senior Center for mothers, grandmothers, special aunts, their families, and anyone who been like a mother to someone, Administrator Adena Cox-Holloway said. About 75 were in attendance. Delbert and Vicki Matthews, right, check out delicacies from the dessert table complete with a chocolate fountain, while worker Susan Dudley, left, helps serve visitor Marvin Christy. Dudley has helped serve Meals on Wheels to home-bound individuals for many years. The center also hosts various activities, including daily meals complete with a main course, desert, coffee and tea on Mondays through Fridays from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. A suggested donation of $3.50 is asked for anyone 60 or over, and $6 for anyone under 60. In addition, the center serves meals on wheels for home-bound individuals. The center's programs are partially funded by the Southwest Missouri Office on Aging.
