Deputies looking for suspect in Eagle Rock armed robbery
Man wearing ski mask holds up convenience store
The Barry County Sheriff's Office is searching for a man who held up an Eagle Rock convenience store.
On Saturday, a man walked into Uncle Roy's Convenience Stop on Highway 86 at approximately 9:25 p.m., just before closing. The man motioned under his shirt as if he was concealing a weapon and demanded cash from the convenience store clerk. The clerk gave the suspect an undisclosed amount cash from the drawer and the man fled in a white Ford Explorer, possibly a 2004-2005 model. No one was injured.
The suspect was wearing a ski mask and gloves, and the act was caught on surveillance camera. He is described as a white male, approximately between 5 feet 10 inches and 6 feet, with a medium build.
According to the Mick Epperly, Barry County sheriff, the lower half of the ski mask was torn off, and it appeared that the man had a short beard. Epperly said the man also covered his license plate with black plastic.
The office is asking anyone for information to help with the apprehension of the suspect by calling the Barry County Sheriff's Office at 417-847-6556. Tips will remain anonymous.
