2 injured in Hwy. 76 wreck
Ozark man airlifted from scene near Wheaton
An Ozark man was airlifted from the scene of a single-vehicle wreck on Highway 76 Tuesday, five miles south of Wheaton.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Travis Arnold, 42, of Ozark, was driving a 2005 Mack Truck northbound on Highway 76 at about 11 a.m. when his vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway, struck an embankment and overturned into a fence.
Arnold suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to Cox South Hospital in Springfield. A passenger in the vehicle, Jimmy Rainbolt, 40, of Springfield, suffered serious injuries and was transported by EMS to Cox South Hospital.
Neither of the men were wearing safety devices, and damage to the truck was extensive.
