Charles F. Ruscha
Charles F. Ruscha, 81, of Monett, passed away on Thursday, April 2, 2015, at Lacoba Homes in Monett.
Charles was born on Oct. 20, 1933 in Verona, MO, the son of the late Emma Ruscha. Charles graduated from Verona High School and in 1955 he served in the U S. Army, serving his country honorably for two years. Charles worked for ABC Treadco Inc. in Springfield, retiring after 35 years of service. He also owned a cattle farm in Jenkins for over 47. In 1980, he had moved to Jenkins from Monett and in 2006, he moved back to Monett. Charles was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church, a member of the Knights of Columbus and an avid hunter, fisherman and Cardinal's fan. Charles enjoyed raising cattle and spending time with his grandchildren.
On July 1, 1961, Charles and Marjorie "Delores" Stockton were united in marriage in Verona. They were blessed with over 47 years together before her passing in 2008.
Survivors include: his son, Randy Ruscha, and wife Betty, of Monett; two grandchildren, Michele Freiburger, and husband Eric and Ryan Ruscha, and wife Chasity, all of Monett; four great-grandchildren, Amelia and Olivia Freiburger, Jacob King and Emma Ruscha; one sister, Anna Marie Ruscha, of Verona; and two nieces, Helen Ruscha and Emma Faye Ruscha, both of Monett. Charles was preceded in death by one brother, Lawrence Ruscha.
Funeral Mass were held Tuesday, April 7, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Monett with Father Hank Grodecki officiating. Interment was at Clio Cemetery, Jenkins. Rosary was at 6:30 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to the Parkinson's Foundation in care of the funeral home.
