Olive R. "Skippy" Knapik
Olive R. "Skippy" Knapik, 71, of Shell Knob, passed away Sunday, March 22, 2015, in Mercy Hospital, Springfield.
She was born March 15, 1944, in Belleville, Ill., the daughter of Gordon and Sarah (Millner) Raney. On June 29, 1964, in Washington, D.C., she was united in marriage to William Arnold "Bill" Knapik, Jr., who survives.
Additional survivors include: two sons, Bill Knapik, III, of Altamonte Springs, Fla., and Josh "Jake" Knapik and his wife, Katie, of Berryville, Ark.; one sister, Roxy Rae and her husband, Mark, of Benton, Ill.; and five grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents; one brother; one sister and a granddaughter.
She graduated from high school in Sparta, Ill., and received her associate's degree from Avila University in Kansas City. She was employed with the U.S. Government as a real estate specialist, renting property for the government in 26 states.
She and Bill moved to Shell Knob 17 years ago. She was on the Art Board for Table Rock Art Guild in Kimberling City and a member of CASK (Creative Art of Shell Knob). A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Cremation arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Shell Knob.
