James "Jim" Leon Enyart

James "Jim" Leon Enyart, 84, of Shell Knob, passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2015, at Cox Medical Center South in Springfield.

He was born March 24, 1931, in Greentown, Ind., the son of H. Gilbert "Gil" and Ada (Allen) Enyart. He was united in marriage to Beverly Doty on Aug. 3, 1951. She preceded him in death on Oct. 24, 2004. Also preceding him in death were his parents and one grandson.

On Dec. 30, 2006, in Shell Knob he was united in marriage to Sheryl Ann (Lynch) Campbell, who survives.

Additional survivors include: three sons, Steve Enyart, of Kansas City, Scott Enyart, of Roeland Park, Kan., and Stan Enyart of Houston, Texas; two daughters, Vicki Enyart, of Brookfield, and Valerie Tollefson, of Hiawatha, Kan.; a step-son, Keith Campbell, of Norman, Okla.; a step-daughter, Lori Clark, of Colorado Springs, Colo.; two brothers, Bill Enyart, of Loveland, Ohio, and Dick Enyart, of Rochester, Ind.; 23 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

He grew up and received his education in Indiana. He graduated from Akron High School and received his bachelor's of pharmacy degree from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Ind. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1950 to 1954. He was the owner of Horton Pharmacy in Horton, Kan. He also served many years as the mayor of Horton. Jim and Bev moved to Shell Knob in 1991. He was a member at the Central Community United Methodist Church in Shell Knob.

Funeral services were Saturday in Central Community United Methodist Church, Shell Knob. Burial with military honors will be at 10 a.m., April 4, in Rossville Cemetery, Rossville, Kan.
