Tong Yang, 46, of Stella, passed away Monday, March 23, 2015, in West Virginia.
He was born June 19, 1968, in Laos, the son of Cheng Yang and Dau Hue. On May 16, 2001, in Reno, Nev., he was united in marriage to Susan Cha, who survives.
Additional survivors include: three sons, Erin, Connor and Cameron Yang, all of the home; one daughter, Elisia Yang, of the home; his mother, Dau Hue of Sacramento, Calif.; two brothers, Bob Yang, of Sacramento, Calif. and Luo Yang and his wife, Abbey Vang, of Stella; four sisters, Kue Yang and her husband, James Chan, Drong Yang and her husband, Peter Vang, and Cindy Yang, all of Stockton, Calif., and Ching Yang, of Sacramento, Calif. Preceding him in death was his father.
He grew up in California and was a graduate of Modesto High School. He received his associate's degree from Modesto Community College. For several years, he was in production with George's. Nine years ago, he moved to Stella, to make his home. He was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness in Monett.
Services were held April 5, in McQueen Funeral Home, Wheaton. Burial was at 9 a.m. Monday in Dice Cemetery, Fairview.
