Cassville man faces felony assault charge involving gun

The Barry County Sheriff's Office and the Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested a felony assault suspect who was trying to flee to Branson Sunday, according to the Sheriff's Office.

Jeffery Crumpler, 38, of Cassville, was found hiding in the back of a pickup truck around Eagle Rock, said Mick Epperly, Barry County Sheriff.

The Barry County Prosecuting Attorney's has charged Crumpler with first-degree assault, a class B felony, for allegedly pulling a gun on a man and his girlfriend on Sunday

The incident allegedly took place at the Jump Stop on Main St. in Cassville, according to a probable cause statement submitted by Cpl. Donald Privett, of the Cassville Police Department.

Crumpler remains in the Barry County Jail with bond set at $100,000.
