Lyle D. Thompson, 70, of Eagle Rock, passed away Sunday, March 15, 2015, in Mercy Hospital, Rogers, Ark.
He was born June 5, 1944, in Eagle Rock, the son of Gerald and Naomi Irene (Prier) Thompson. On June 28, 1966, he was united in marriage to Regina "Jean" Gage, who survives.
Additional survivors include: two sons, Clint and his wife, Sharon, of Eagle Rock, and Jason and his wife, Kari, of Branson; one brother, Jerry and his wife, Lynda, of Eagle Rock; two sisters, Sharon and Gwen, both of Eagle Rock; and three grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents; grandparents; and one sister, Rosemary.
He received his education at Cassville, where he graduated from high school. He attended one year at IBM in Springfield.
For 30 years, Lyle was employed at Missouri Department of Transportation, retiring as maintenance boss. He was a member of Carr Lane Baptist Church, where he was a deacon and music director.
Funeral services were held Friday in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Pastors Sam Dunham, Tim Blankenship, Benny Clark and Russell Bishop conducted the services. Burial was at Munsey Cemetery, Eagle Rock.
