6 injured in Butterfield wreck
Purdy woman flown to Springfield hospital
Six people, including three children, suffered injuries in a wreck at the intersection of Highway 37 and Highway W in Butterfield Thursday evening.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Vicky Shockley, 59, of Purdy, was driving a 1998 Chevrolet Cavalier at about 7:25 p.m. and attempted to make a left turn onto Highway W, turning in front of a 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe, being driven by Jarod Stockton, 36, of Cassville, and striking it head-on.
Shockley suffered serious injuries and was taken by Aircare to Cox South Hospital in Springfield. She was not wearing a safety device.
There were five Cassville people in the Tahoe, all of whom suffered minor injuries. Stockton, along with Blake Stockton, 9, and Wesley Stockton, 12, were taken by ambulance to Cox Monett Hospital. April Stockton, 32, was taken by private vehicle to Cox Monett Hospital, an Austin Stockton, 13, was taken by ambulance to Cox South Hospital in Springfield. All of the Stocktons were wearing safety devices.
The Cavalier was totaled in the wreck, and the Tahoe suffered extensive damage.
