Jo Anne Courtney
Jo Anne Courtney, of Eagle Rock, Mo., died Feb. 26, 2015, in Fort Smith, Ark. She was born Sept. 26, 1932, in Boston, Mass., to William Burke and Eleanor Hession Harriss. She was a retired Registered Nurse for the Arkansas Department of Human Services. She was also a retired veteran of the U.S. Army. Her memberships included the Arkansas Nurses Association, National Association of Gerontological Nurses, National Guard Association of Business and Professional Women, Association of Women in Military Service for America, and the Republican Women's Association.
She is survived by: one daughter, Deborah and husband, Robert Satterfield, of Fort Smith. Four sons, Stephen and wife, Lisa Courtney of Belmont, MA., Michael and wife, Donna Courtney of Elizabethtown, PA., David and wife, Susan Courtney of Fort Worth, TX., and Jerry and wife, Katie Courtney of Camas, WA; 18 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Alfred E. Courtney.
Funeral service will be held March 5, at 10 a.m. in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the U.S. National Cemetery with full Military Honors.
The family will greet friends at Edwards Funeral Home on Wednesday from 5-7 p.m.
