Diane White, 65, of Golden, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2015, at Cox Hospital in Branson. She was born on Oct. 20, 1949, daughter of Jim and Dortha (Turner) Schmeltz, in Kansas City. She graduated from Chanute High School Chanute, Kan. On Aug. 25, 1995, she was united in marriage to Johnny White in Garland, Texas, who survives. They moved to Golden, where Diane was an optician and worked in optical offices, including Dr. Langston's office in Holiday Island, Ark. She was an active member of the Eagle Rock-Golden-Mano First Responders.
Additional survivors include: her mother, Dortha Little, of Golden; one daughter, Leslie Willcott, of Dallas, Texas; two stepdaughters, Jaclyn Brylczyk and her husband Stefan, of Tulsa, Okla., and Candy Rush, of Sand Springs, Okla.; three brothers, Patrick, John, and Ted Schmeltz; three sisters, Cynthia Zingg, Rebecca McGee, and Marcella Hulsey; and four grandchildren.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her son, Chris Willcott; one sister, Susan Schmeltz; her father and mother-in-law, Ross and Fern White; and her stepfather, Bill Little.
Services were held on Monday at the White Funeral Home & Crematory in Cassville, with Pastor Jamie Smith officiating.
