Loretta Fletcher, 76, of Exeter, passed away on Feb, 14, 2015, at Cox South in Springfield, Missouri. She was born on July 25, 1938, on Sugar Mountain, Ark., daughter of John and Bertha (Reece) Goldsborough. She was united in marriage to Lloyd Day on July 8, 1954, in Exeter; he preceded her in death on Aug. 18, 1996. On May 28, 1997, in Exeter she was united in marriage to Don Fletcher; he survives.
She cooked at the Rainbow Dinner House in Cassville for five years, and then went on to work for Head Start in Cassville as a cook in the cafeteria, later becoming a certified teacher's aide for 13 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Exeter.
Survivors include: her husband, Don Fletcher, of Exeter; three sons, Leonard Day, of Cassville, DeWayne Day and his wife, Irene, of Exeter, and Bruce Day and his wife, Robin, of Exeter; four daughters, Linda Wyatt and her husband, Tony, of Mt. Vernon, Jeanette Winchester, of Tampa, Fla., Sandra Schreiner and her husband, Edgar, of Aurora, and Lisa Jacobs and her husband, Dennis, of Cassville; one stepson, Ludon Fletcher and his wife, Shirley, of Cassville, two stepdaughters, Vicky McDougal and her husband, Bob, of Shell Knob, and Trish McCracken and her husband, Mike, of Cassville; 26 grandchildren; two sisters, Jenny Sperling, of Pryor, Okla., and Jane Skaggs, of Springdale, Ark.
Funeral services were held on today (Wednesday) at the First Baptist Church in Exeter with Pastor Jerry Yarnall officiating. Burial followed at Maplewood Cemetery in Exeter. Memorials may be made to the Meal on Wheels program at the Senior Center in Cassville, and entrusted to the White Funeral Home & Crematory, PO Box 890, Cassville, MO 65625.
