Marvin Car Cruzan

Marvin Car Cruzan, 76, of Shell Knob, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2015, in Mercy Hospital, Springfield.

He was born Nov 26, 1938, in Sioux City, Iowa, the son of Benjamin E. and Helen M. (Princelaw) Cruzan. On Dec. 5, 1979, in Kansas City, he was united in marriage to Macy Fattig, who survives. Also surviving is one brother, Allan W. Cruzan, of Harrison, Ark.

Preceding him in death were his parents and one sister, Marilyn Englebrecht.

He received his education in Kansas City, and attended Kansas City Metropolitan College. From April 7, 1958, until June 1, 1962, he served in the U.S. Air Force. For several years, he was a computer programmer analyst for the Department of Energy, in Ohio, Colo., and Indiana, retiring in 1992. Services with military honors will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday in Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield.

Cremation arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Shell Knob.
