Mary Amanda (Stockton) Matthews, 75, of Cassville, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2015, in her home.

She was born Feb. 20, 1939, in Cassville to Jim and Mattie (Hampton) Stockton. On Nov. 24, 1954, she married Hollis Matthews, who survives. Additional survivors include: three children, Rick Matthews and his wife, Glennette, of San Antonio, Texas, Debra Smith and her husband, Samuel, of Diamond, and Kim Washam and her husband, Wayne, of Cassville; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Reta Henson, of Visalia, Calif., and Sharon Hayworth and her husband, James, of Washburn; and two brothers, Harry Stockton, of Independence, and Harvey Stockton and his wife, Nancy, of Rockledge, Fla.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Reba Kamler; a sister-in-law, Violet Stockton; and two brothers-in-law, Loren Henson and Curtis Kamler.

She was an active member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Cassville. She was a long-time beautician. She worked for the Cassville School District for 25 years. She was the food service director for her last 10 years, retiring in 2002.

Funeral services were held at Saturday in Mt. Olive Baptist Church under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Pastor Kevin Hilton and Pastor Charles Chrisman conducted the services. Burial was at Mineral Springs Cemetery, Cassville.
