Arthur A. Davidson

Arthur A. Davidson, 74, of Monett, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2015, at his home. He was in an accident while working with cattle at the stockyards in June of 2005.

He was born on Oct. 18, 1940, in Sarcoxie, son of the late Rev. Carl A. Davidson and Vera (Burris) Davidson. He graduated from Sarcoxie High School with the Class of 1958. He had served six months in active duty with the National Guard. For many years, he owned Welch Stockyards and Davidson's Quarter Horses. He and his wife had opened their home numerous summers to kids that wanted to learn how to rope, ride and shoe horses. He was a member of Redwood Bible Holiness Church, Sarcoxie.

On July 14, 1962, in Pierce City, he married Mary Sue Brandt.

Survivors include: his wife, Mary Sue Davidson, of the home; and one daughter, Cheri Davidson, of Monett. He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.

Graveside services were held Saturday at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Monett. Rev. Kenneth Filsinger officiated.

Arrangements were under the direction of Buchanan Funeral Home, Monett.
