Cassville license office contract up for bid
Bids to run office must be submitted to state by Dec. 19
The Missouri Office of Administration is now accepting management contract bids for the Cassville License Office.
Interested individuals and groups must submit their bids to operate the office by Dec. 19
A copy of the request for proposal bidders are required to use t develop their bids can be viewed on the Office of Administration's website, at www.oa.mo.gov. Prospective bidders may also tour the Cassville License office from 4:30-5:30 p.m. on Dec. 3 to gain perspective on how the office operates.
The Missouri Department of Revenue oversees 178 license offices, which are each operated buy independent agents. All of the offices were put out for bid under the competitive procurement process in 2009.
Contracts were awarded for one yea, with three one-year renewal options. The move toward a competitive procurement process of the offices overhauled the way local motor vehicle and driver license offices are awarded and was one of the first actions under Gov. Jay Nixon's administration.
Bids will be evaluated on areas such as expertise of the personnel proposed, methods proposed for performing the service and whether the individual r entity is a not-for-profit, political subdivision, a Missouri Certified Minority Business Enterprise, a Women Business Enterprise or a Missouri Service-Disabled Veteran Enterprise.
