Tinsel Tea Open House set for Dec. 5

The ladies of the Cassville Methodist Church are inviting the public to attend the Tinsel Tea Open House on Dec. 5, from 6-8 p.m. in the fellowship hall of the Cassville United Methodist Church. Tables will be decorated from floor to ceiling with Christmas decor and place settings. All proceeds from the Tinsel Tea will benefit the United Methodist Church Community Food Pantry. Donations will be accepted during open house, but not required to attend. The Community Food Pantry provides emergency food and personal care supplies for persons experiencing crisis in their personal situations. Funds will be used to purchase food and personal care items to help those struggling in Barry County.

Bilderbacks to perform in Wheaton Sunday

The Bilderbacks, a gospel music group and family ministry, will perform at The Body of Christ Center, on Highway 86 in Wheaton, on Sunday at 6 p.m. For more information, people may call 417-652-3709. Free will offerings will be taken, and more information about the group may be found at www.the-bilderbacks.com.

Exeter gearing up for Christmas Dinner, Parade

The city of Exeter will host its annual Christmas Dinner from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Dec. 6 at the Exeter Community Building. The cost is $6. The city's annual Christmas Parade will follow at 1:30 p.m. Those who would like to enter should call City Hall at 417-835-2823. There is no fee to participate, and Santa Claus will be handing out bags of goodies after the parade at the Community Building.

OACAC hosting coat drive

The Barry County Ozarks Area Community Action Corporation Neighborhood Center is hosting a coat drive until Dec. 3. Drop-off locations include: Freedom Bank, Barry Electric, the Cassville Area Chamber of Commerce and the OACAC Neighborhood Center.
