Don M. Mackie
Don M. Mackie passed away on Friday, Nov. 21, 2014.
He was born in Little Rock, Ark., to Fonta (Crunk) and Arthur Mackie on Dec. 12, 1933. He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Arthur.
He graduated from high school in Alexandria, Vg., and attended some college.
He moved to Eureka Springs, Ark., in the late 1950s and owned the Esso Gas Station.
He was Equipment Superintendent on the Alaska Pipeline from 1975-1978.
He owned and operated Golden Precision Machine in Eagle Rock from 1988 to the present. He also owned and operated White Dove Manor Bed and Breakfast in Eureka Springs, Ark., from 1992-2008.
He traveled frequently to preach and teach the Word of God.
He married his wife, Jane, on June 14, 1999, who survives. He has one son, Cabel Mackie and his wife, Cindy, of Big Spring, Texas; one stepson, Josh Tennis, and his wife, SaraJane; and one grandson.
Services were today (Wednesday) in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Freddy Blevins and Gerry Bryant conducted the services.
