Cassville residents hurt in single-vehicle incident

Two Cassville residents were injured Saturday in a single-vehicle wreck on Highway 76, five miles south of Cassville.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol Report, Leroy Stockton, 26, of Cassville, was driving a 2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser when he allegedly failed to stop at a stop sign and struck a ditch.

He and a passenger, Angel Burdiss, 29, of Cassville, were both injured in the wreck. Stockton suffered minor injuries and was transported to Mercy Hospital in Cassville. Burdiss suffered moderate injuries and was transported to Cox South Hospital in Springfield.

The vehicle suffered extensive damage.
