Mildred A. Wilson
Mildred A. Wilson, 92, of Cassville, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 6, 2014, at the Roaring River Health and Rehab in Cassville. She was born on May 20, 1922, daughter of Thomas Barry and Martha "Mattie" (Montgomery) Wilson in Jenkins.
She graduated from Galena High School in 1942 and started teaching. She taught at numerous one-room Barry County rural schools, including Jenkins, Cato, Shell Knob, Clay Hill, Cross Hollows and Seligman. Following the school consolidation, she taught at Southwest for eight years and Exeter for seven years. After her retirement from teaching, she worked at FASCO for six years and Oxford Healthcare for 10 years. She attended the Townsend Street Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Wanda Wilson and Lorene Wilson, and one brother, Earl Gene Wilson.
Funeral services were held Monday at the White Funeral Home & Crematory in Cassville with Billy Dickinson, minister, officiating. Burial followed at the old Carney Cemetery, east of Clio.
