3 injured in head-on collision
Pair of Cassville residents airlifted form Highway 37 wreck
A head-on collision on Highway 37 Tuesday afternoon resulted in three people being injured and two being airlifted to Springfield.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Dennis Cole, 55, of Cassville, was driving a 2000 Chevrolet S10 northbound when his vehicle crossed the center line and struck head-on a 2012 Chevrolet Sonic, being driven by Olivia Autrey, 29, of Cassville.
Cole and a passenger in his vehicle, Victoria McFarland, 58, of Cassville, were each seriously injured and airlifted to Cox South Hospital in Springfield. Cole was wearing a safety device, and it is unknown if McFarland was wearing one.
Autrey suffered minor injuries and was transported by ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Cassville. She was wearing a safety device.
Both vehicles were totaled in the wreck.
