Harold J. Fulp
Harold J. Fulp, 87, of Monett, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2014.
He was born in Aurora on Nov. 26, 1926, son of the late Burt P. Fulp and Golda (Fly) Fulp. He graduated from Aurora High School and served in the Merchant Marines. In 1949, He moved to Monett and had worked at Jumping Jack Shoes. He was a member and a deacon of the First Baptist Church in Monett.
He married Wanda Alexander on Sept. 2, 1949, in Monett. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Florene Crawford.
Survivors include: his wife, Wanda, of the home; two sons, Michael S. Fulp, of Albuquerque, N.M., and Terrance J. Fulp, and wife Nadine, of Bolder City, Nev.; two brothers, Lonnie Fulp, and wife, Linda, of Monett, and Gerald Fulp, and wife, Beverly, of Aurora; and one sister, Joanne McCann, and husband, Douglas, of Mt. Vernon.
Funeral services were held Saturday at the Buchanan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tony Martin officiating. Interment and military honors were at Washburn Prairie Cemetery in Washburn. Arrangements were under the direction of Buchanan Funeral Home, Monett.
