Cassville teen facing pair of felonies after robbery

A Cassville man allegedly robbed the Plaza Pharmacy in Shell Knob on Monday morning, drawing a weapon and taking prescription medications.

According to Barry County Sheriff Mick Epperly, deputies have arrested and booked 18-year-old Chance Henson, of Cassville, who has been charged with first-degree robbery, a class A felony, and armed criminal action, an unclassified felony. A bond has not been set.

Epperly said Monday morning, Henson allegedly entered the Plaza Pharmacy in Shell Knob with his face covered and brandishing a pistol, eventually escaping with numerous prescription medications.

"He may have only had an air gun, but he still drew it on employees," Epperly said.

Epperly said with the help of the pharmacy's video surveillance system, deputies identified and arrested Henson within 30 minutes of the 911 call.

"The suspect was still at the plaza at the time," Epperly said. "He went to the Federal Credit Union there and then went to the location he originally came from, and we picked him up in his vehicle."

No one was injured in the incident.
