Samey May Jenkins, 78, of Exeter, passed away Friday, Sept. 26, 2014, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield.

She was born April 10, 1936, in Gilmore, Ark., the daughter of Dawsey and Nannie (Hayley) Mc-Kellar. On Sept. 6, 1958, in Harrisburg, Ark., she was united in marriage to Ollie Jr. Jenkins, who preceded her in death on Jan. 17, 2001. Also preceding her in death were two sons, Leon and Don Jenkins; three brothers, George, Jessie and Clarence McKellar and two sisters, Marilyn Bennett and Betty Ann Woods.

Survivors include: three sons, Ernest Jenkins, of Cassville, Mark Jenkins and his wife, Kim, of Cassville, and James Jenkins and his wife, Micky, of Exeter; one daughter, Alene Medlin, of Cassville; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She grew up in Arkansas and lived around 30 years in Harrisburg, Ark. In 1983, she moved to Missouri. She attended Bible Baptist Church in Cassville.

Funeral services were held Tuesday in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Pastor Wes Stewart conducted the services. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Holly Springs Cemetery, Harrisburg, Ark., with Pastor Kelly Jones officiating.
