Edna "Lucille" Williams
Edna "Lucille" Williams, 93, of Cassville, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2014, at Lacoba Nursing Home in Monett.
She was born Aug. 24, 1921, in Barry County, the daughter of C.R. "Bob" and Luda (Corn) Sapp. On Dec. 14, 1941, she was united in marriage to Marion Williams, who preceded her in death on Nov. 1, 2002. Also preceding her in death were her parents; two brothers, Troy Sapp and L.E. "Lois" Sapp; and three sisters, Helen Sapp, Ruth Brendlinger and Amanda Cooper.
Survivors include: two sisters, Barbara Mitchell and her husband, Albert, of Springfield, and Betty Thomas and her husband, Wilbur, of Cassville. She grew up and received her education at Exeter, graduating from Exeter High School. She then received her cosmetology license from Joplin Beauty School. Much of her life was spent in Kansas, where she owned and operated a beauty salon for many years. In 1992, she moved from Augusta, Kan., back to Barry County to make her home. She was a member of Cassville First Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held Saturday in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Pastor James Weaver and Brother Bob Neeley conducted the services. Burial was at Antioch Cemetery, Cassville.
