Denzil N. Leach
Denzil N. Leach, Jr., 70, of Cassville, passed away peacefully at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, on Friday, Aug. 29, 2014. The son of Denzil N. Leach, Sr., and Doralene "Fern" (Speer) Leach, was born on June 26, 1944, in Cassville. After attending Cassville High School, Mr. Leach served in the United States Army in Germany and Korea for six years, where he began his career in mechanics.
On July 16, 1965, he was united in marriage to Sally Plummer in Cassville. Together, they owned and operated Leach's Automotive and Leach's Dariette. Denny loved to spend his time with his family and fishing at Campbell Point in Shell Knob where he also worked as a certified boat mechanic. Most recently, he was a retiree from Masters and Jackson Paving Co., and Fasco Industries.
Survivors include: his wife, Sally Leach, of Cassville; three sons, Dennis Murl Leach, and his wife, Sherri, of Monett, Denny Lee Leach, and his wife, Carolyn, of Cassville, and Shawn Patrick Leach, of Cassville; one daughter, Joyce Ann Leach, of Cassville; one grandson, Robert Leach, of St. Louis; his mother, Doralene "Fern" Leach, of Cassville; one brother, Kirby Leach, and his wife, Patty, of Monett; one sister, Gwen (Leach) Enfield, and her husband, Ernie, of Golden; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Denzil N. Leach Sr., and one brother, Anthony Leach.
Memorial contributions may be made to Denny's great-nephew, Cody Gregory's transplant fund, and may be entrusted to the White Funeral Home in Cassville.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 6, 2014, at the White Funeral Home and Crematory with words of comfort spoken by Ralph Hilburn.
