James Grinder, 66, of Seligman, passed away Monday, Aug. 25, 2014, at Northwest Medical Center in Bentonville, Ark.
He was born May 14, 1948, in Marshall, Ark., the son of Clyde and Bonnie (Caughron) Grinder, who preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death were one son, Jimmy Grinder; two brothers, Johnny and Stevie Grinder; and one sister, Jo Ann Hilton.
Survivors include: one son, Doug Grinder of Marshall, Ark.; one daughter, Sonia Calwell of Damascus, Ark.; three brothers, Jerry Grinder and his wife, Ellen, of Dardanelle, Ark., Gerald Grinder of Texarkana, Ark. and Richard Grinder of Big Flat, Ark.; five sisters, Betty Williams, of Seligman, Sue Green of Springdale, Ark., Glenda Treece, of Clinton, Ark., Jeannie Grinder, of Dardanelle, Ark., and Ruble Treece, of Indianapolis, Ark.; and five grandchildren.
James spent most of his life in Arkansas, where he received his education. He was a self-employed drywall hanger. Eighteen months ago he moved from Marshall, Ark. to Seligman to be with his sister, Betty Williams.
No services are scheduled at this time. Cremation arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville.
