Jammin' at Jolly slated for Saturday

Jammin' at Jolly, the 2014 Tal Wooten Memorial Music Festival, will get underway at 5 p.m., Saturday at Jolly Mill Park, located off Highway 60 in Newton County.

The annual event will feature local artists, including the Mark Chapman Band, Timberline Bluegrass Band, The Bootkickers and Neva Welters. The event will conclude with a fireworks display at dark.

The memorial honors the late Tal Wooten, founder of the Wooten Company, and is underwritten by his wife, Rosalie O'Reilly-Wooten.

Those attending are asked to bring lawn chairs or blankets for comfort, and are invited to bring a picnic dinner. Concessions will

also be available.

Admittance is $10 per car, or $5 to members of Jolly Mill Park with a 2014 park pass.

Jolly Mill is a family-friendly environment, and alcohol is prohibited on the park grounds.

Jolly Mill is located off Highway 60 west of Monett, south on County Road 1010 and then west on County Road 2025.
