Eagle Rock women suffer moderate injuries

A three-car pile up on Highway 37 in Purdy on Thursday led to an Eagle Rock woman being treated for moderate injuries.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Ashton Young, 16, of Monett, was driving a 2006 Ford Mustang when her vehicle entered the path of a 2004 Buick LeSabre, being driven by Dawna Headgepath, 48, of Eagle Rock. The impact caused Young's vehicle to impact a stopped 2012 Chevrolet Impala, being driven by Linda Killion, 47, of Wheaton.

Headgepath and Viola Boggs, 69, of Eagle Rock, a passenger in her vehicle, were both transported to Cox Hospital in Monett with moderate injuries. Andrea Humphrey, 16, of Monett, a passenger in Young's vehicle, suffered minor injuries. Young also suffered minor injuries, and the two sought their own treatment. Killion, along with Emily Killion, 15, of Wheaton, a passenger in the Impala, each suffered minor injuries and sought their own treatment.

All drivers and passengers in the incident were wearing safety devices. The Mustang and Impala suffered moderate damages, and the LeSabre suffered extensive damages.

Purdy firefighters and the Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to the scene, in addition to ambulances from Barry-Lawrence and South Barry County services.
