Barry County SWAT Team raids Seligman home
34-year-old man charged with possession of meth
A Seligman man was arrested recently after the Barry County SWAT Team raided his home.
Terry Martin, 34, of Seligman, is facing felony charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of a firearm, both class C felonies.
Mick Epperly, Barry County sheriff, said the SWAT team, in cooperation with the Special Response Team and Seligman Police, arrested Martin at his home.
"We brought out the SRT team and our green Hummer and paid him a visit," Epperly said.
According to a probable cause statement filed by the Seligman Police Department, Martin was allegedly found in possession of a white powdery substance and assorted paraphernalia. Field testing of the substance showed a positive result for methamphetamine.
The statement also said Martin was found in possession of a firearm.
"Mr. Martin, being a convicted felon and is habitually in an intoxicated or drugged state, was found in possession of at least two concealable firearms and ammunition for both," it said.
Martin is being held in the Barry County jail on a $20,000 bond.
