Leroy Francisco, 88, of Wheaton, passed away Thursday, July 31, 2014. He was born Sept. 6, 1925, to the son of Vesta and Vernie Francisco. He was united in marriage to Zelma Cooper May 15, 1943.
Survivors include: his two sons, Gene Francisco and his wife, Betty, of Purdy, and Jerry Francisco and his wife, Karen, of Nixa; one daughter, Susie Bailey and her husband, Carroll, of Goodman; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; two sisters, Dolly Odorizzi, of Haysville, Kan., and Beatrice Land, of Monett.
Preceding him in death were his parents; Vesta and Vernie Francisco; one sister, Betty Brown; and his wife, Zelma.
He was a life-long resident of Wheaton. He was owner and operator of the Francisco and Son Body Shop of Wheaton. For many years he was a school bus driver for the Wheaton School system. He was a faithful member, deacon and Sunday school teacher of Wheaton Southern Baptist Church. Funeral services were held Tuesday in Wheaton Southern Baptist Church, under direction of McQueen Funeral Home, Wheaton. Pastor Paul Wahlert conducted the services. Burial was at Rocky Comfort Cemetery, Rocky Comfort.
