5 home games slated for Wildcats' upcoming season

This week is the calm before the storm for athletes participating in fall sports.

This week is dead week, as coaches are not allowed to conduct practices or run drills with athletes.

However, come Monday, that all changes with the start of the fall season.

With the recent release of the football schedule, Wildcat fans are chomping at the bit to get started.

This year's schedule shapes up nicely for the black and gold, with five home games and four road contests.

Cassville opens the season on the road at Aurora on Aug. 22 before its home opener on Aug. 29 against Mountain Grove.

September begins with two more home contests, against McDonald County (Sept. 5) and Lamar (Sept. 12), before closing the month with games at Monett (Sept. 19) and Carl Junction (Sept. 26).

The month of October ushers in with a home game versus Mt. Vernon (Oct. 3) and then a visit to Granby to face East Newton (Oct. 10).

The Wildcats' final regular season home game is scheduled for Oct. 17 against Seneca.
