6 hired at Purdy School District
Therapy service to continue through Cox
Beefing up the personnel for the coming school year, the Purdy School District hired two certified and four non-certified staff members.
Clint Dillow will teach high school science, moving to Purdy from the Monett district.
Mary Nunley, who has worked as a substitute for the district and a special education aide, will teach fourth grade. Nunley, of Cassville, will teach an added section due to the large number of fourth graders.
Among the non-certified staffers, Zabi Salazar was hired as a Title I aide at the elementary school. Salazar is the daughter of the school nurse and has substituted as a teacher.
Yadi Martinez, of Verona, was hired as a Title 1 aide at the middle school. Heather Bishop, a recent College of the Ozarks graduate from Exeter, was hired as a special education paraprofessional.
Charlie Lauderdale filled a vacancy as a bus driver. A past substitute driver, Lauderdale replaced Donnie Dodson, who resigned.
The district also retained the services of CoxHealth to provide occupational, physical and speech therapy services for the district at the same rates as last year.
