County clerk releases voting info
Residents may vote by absentee ballot through Aug. 4
The Barry County Clerk's Office has released information regarding absentee and in-person voting in the upcoming primary election.
Those who have mobility issues, like walking or standing in lines, may send a written request, with the information listed below, or stop by the office and vote absentee.
Residents may vote absentee in person through Aug. 4, at the Barry County Clerk's Office in Cassville, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Voters must present one form of identification, such as a drivers license or voter registration card.
For the Primary Election, voters must also tell the election workers which party ballot he or she wishes to vote, Republican or Democrat.
If unable to vote absentee in person, voters may request an absentee ballot to be mailed. Voters must send a written request and include the following information: Date of election, name of voter, physical address, mailing address, date of birth, last four digits of Social Security number, phone number, reason for voting absentee, which party ballot to vote on and the voter's signature. The last day to request a primary election ballot to be mailed is July 30.

Voters in Barry County's Monett precinct will vote at the Monett Park Casino.
In-person absentee voting in the primary election will also take place on Aug. 2, from 9 a.m. to noon.
