Cuma Brock Vaughan
Cuma Brock Vaughan, 90, passed away on July 16, 2014, at Heritage Villa Nursing Home in Bartlesville, Okla.
She was born on Oct. 2, 1923, in Shell Knob to Ernest Brock and Jessie Whisman Brock. She moved with her family at an early age to Earlsboro, Okla. She graduated from Prairie View High School as salutatorian in 1941.
She married Ray Vaughan on July 12, 1942, and following World War II she and Ray made their home in Seminole, Okla. They moved to Cassville in 1984.
Survivors include: one daughter, Donna Drew Fry, of Owasso, Okla.; one son, Johnny Vaughan and his wife, Shirley, of Bartlesville, Okla.; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and three brothers, Kermit Brock, of Vancouver, Wash., Don Brock and his wife, Myra, of Shell Knob, and Ira Jay Brock and his wife, Dottie, of Cassville. She was predeceased by her parents, brothers Loren Brock, of Cassville, and Howard Brock, of Shell Knob, and infant sister, Kathleen.
Visitation will be at Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, at the Shell Knob Church of Christ in Shell Knob. Burial will be at the Painter Cemetery in Shell Knob.
